Origami Butterflies in Second Grade

Before break, Fifth Grader Mya Gellman took a trip down to second grade to teach them how to make origami butterflies. This was another of the fifth grade passion projects to promote their independent learning. Mya started the lesson by figuring out what the second graders knew and what they wondered about origami. They went on to go step-by-step through making an origami butterfly. After the lesson was done, she documented what the second graders had learned through the course of the lesson.
